The next step

Just an update...we received a referral for two babies on the 12th of September. Twins!! A bit of a shock! It was a long awaited moment but ultimately it turned out that these babies were not to be our children. Kurt and I did much soul searching and decided that it would be better if we only adopted one child at a time - which is what we had originally been thinking since March. That combined with some medical concerns led us to decline the referral. Now we wait for another. We're supposed to be next in line but I'm prepared to wait for up to another 3 months to get word again. In the meantime the house remodel continues - will post pictures shortly.
