May Update

Okay, okay...I know that it's been too long since our last update. It truly is amazing how busy your life gets with a little one running around. After our trip to Miami we settled back into the routine with the only exception being that it seemed to change frequently since our little man is growing by leaps and bounds. He decided just after daddy's big 40 birthday party in April (and Serik's 13 month) that he needed to be walking all the time.

He's so pleased with himself and loves to play all sorts of games. For instance - before bath time it's in and out of the bath room running between Kurt and I giggling madly the whole time, before finally being corralled into the bath. He still likes the bath but is not a fan of getting his hair washed so the bath time has gotten quicker as he's afraid he'll get his hair washed (which by the way is maybe once a week).

His vocabulary has expanded (along with the amount of teeth he has). It's now: ball, car (thanks to Jeff for teaching him every high end vehicle in Miami), 'hi', cracker, bath, book, dada, mama, nana (for banana), bye-bye...you get the jest.

He's also gotten two more teeth - bringing the total to 10 in - with 4 more erupting as we speak. The kid is a total drool monster - no wonder.

On Mother's Day I had a nice relaxing day - lolling about. We then went to meet up with Nana Hammond, Aunt Missy and Uncle Russ and cousins Lissa and Isaac at the Como Zoo. Ever think it would be a good idea to go to a zoo/park deal on Mother's day - yeah - well apparently so did everyone else! Besides the crowds it was fun though and Serik got a kick out of his cousins and the animals at the zoo and went on his first merry-go-round.

Grandma and Grandpa and Auntie Caryn came from New England over Memorial weekend to spoil the little man. It was great to see them and we are planning on heading east in July.

We started landscaping on the house this week so now it is almost completely finished - just a few punch list items left - phew. Enjoy the pics.
